Switchgear Engineer – HVAC & Refrigeration Focus Stroud £60,000 – £75,000 (DOE) Generous holiday allowance, strong pension scheme, sick pay   Are you an experienced Switchgear Engineer with a background in HVAC or refrigeration systems? Are you looking for a fresh challenge where your skills are valued and your expertise plays a critical role in innovative engineering projects?   We are working with a well-established engineering company looking to expand their team with a highly capable and motivated Switchgear Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company at the forefront of delivering high-performance environmental test systems and refrigeration technology.   What You’ll Be Doing : Designing and developing switchgear systems for cutting-edge applications, integrated with refrigeration systems Producing detailed electrical schematics, layout drawings, BOMs, and wiring diagrams Selecting components for both switchgear and refrigeration systems Configuring PLCs and PID controllers Supporting procurement by checking supplier quotes and sourcing alternatives Working closely with manufacturing teams to build and test systems Assisting with installation, commissioning, and site inspections Providing technical support to the Service Team for system maintenance   What We’re Looking For : Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering – or equivalent proven experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in switchgear systems At least 3 years’ experience in HVAC or refrigeration (cascade system experience a plus) Strong skills in AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar electrical design tools Hands-on experience installing and maintaining HVAC / switchgear systems Good knowledge of relevant codes and standards (F-Gas, IEC, ASHRAE, NEC) Experience with control systems and firmware (PLCs, PIDs)   Apply now or reach out directly to Rhymel Henderson to learn more about the opportunity and the company you’d be joining.
