PA for Young Deaf lady P / T @ £12.00 / hr in Stapleton (BS16) for 8 hours per week

e7f8) I am a Deaf woman who uses BSL. I live in the Stapleton area of Bristol. I am a non-smoker.

I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support me for 8 hours a week spread over 2 days. I would like a person who has fluent British Sign Language Skills or to a Level 3 standard and above.

I would like this person to be kind and patient with a good sense of humour. By providing me with assistance I will be able to lead an individual and independent lifestyle in my own home and within the community.

The Personal Assistant should feel confident to ask what my needs are and also be willing to listen to my requests and the directions that I give and ask when you have not understood my request. Be able to provide me with positive encouragement.

Tasks include :

Support with researching new places of interest to visit, check opening times, entry cost, etc.

Support with planning and familiarising me with journeys and bus routes.

Support to visit new places and help choosing and planning activities to attend.

Support me to become more confident when cooking, helping me to plan meals, follow recipes, encourage me to try new things and help me to understand the choices available.

No personal care

Note : All needs will vary from day-to-day and duties will be altered accordingly.

Main Qualities
