Job description

This exciting role provides a great opportunity to contribute to the performance of the Trust and to develop your career while making a difference to health care services in Cornwall.

A senior leadership role overseeing the day-to-day functions of the finance and procurement teams, whilst also being a key part of the trust leadership team with a wide variation of projects and exposure to various stakeholders across the services within RCHT.

You will bring excellent financial management skills and will have experience of working in teams with a proven track record in delivering successful and measurable outcomes. With excellent negotiation skills and leadership skills, you will have the ability to help deliver change and improvements across numerous work streams.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Recognised full CCAB / CIMA accountancy qualification
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
  • Senior Management Qualification or equivalent substantial experience.
  • Master's degree level qualification or health related subject or equivalent knowledge & experience

  • Better Business Case Training Foundation (Accredited)
  • Member of HFMA

    • Experience

    Essential

  • Extensive experience in a senior financial management role, managing a large team
  • A track record of delivering high quality financial outputs including delivery of accounts and challenging financial plans
  • Experience of building personal and professional credibility with senior staff, external organisations and Board level colleagues
  • Staff management and leadership experience
  • Experience of business / service planning
  • Project Management Experience
  • Understanding of change management and facilitation of these processes
  • Able to analyse highly complex information and appraise options
  • Able to make and take decisions after analysis of options and implications

  • Experience of working across various sectors of the NHS

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of NHS financial framework
