Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal FTC

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse for maternity leave cover for a fixed term of 12 months with the possibility to extend further, to join our team here at Carterton Vets. The job role offers a varied caseload of work within a small team of Vets and Nurses. The day-to-day duties include caring for inpatients, surgical nursing, anaesthesia, nursing clinics, reception and much more. 1 in 4 Saturday mornings.

About Us

Carterton Veterinary Surgery is a purpose built small animal first opinion practice which opened its doors to business in 2014. The practice has a large reception with separate dog and cat areas, separate dog and cat wards, large prep room with isolation kennel, imaging room, dental theatre, and surgical theatre. We are a small team who work together to create a good environment for ourselves and our clients.

Team Structure

Our team consists of 2 FTE Vets, 3.5 FTE Nurses, 1 Student Nurse and one Practice Manager. Two of our Vets are studying towards small animal medicine certificates.

Candidate Requirements

The successful applicant will be an RVN with at least 2 years experience.
