Job description

The Vacancy

The post holder will support to offer residents across Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland a unique employment journey, supporting them via a suite of varied activities provided by the partners on the project, ensuring they adopt positive routines suited to their specific needs and move positively towards employment.

They will do this by supporting the removal of barriers to employment, building confidence and motivation to look for work, and progress with basic skills.

The post holder will work collaboratively with employability delivery teams to provide access to a bespoke employment journey for local residents, who are hardest to reach providing them

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, adapt, organise and maintain learning resources and / or equipment.

Set up the learning environment and undertake the day-to-day maintenance of equipment.

Support employability team responsible for the effective and efficient organisation and delivery of high quality learning programmes.

Undertake a range of administration and project duties as well as proactively engaging with communities across Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland.

Prepare for instructing and supervising, the learning experience and the learning environment.

Produce and carry out as directed, the organisation and administration appropriate to the learning situation including the marking of registers and the submission of other returns and records.

Complete and maintain accurate records for project outcomes.

Contribute to the learner’s personal development and responsibility for their own learning, and encourage resilience.

Support individuals and groups through the process of learning and associated training sessions and referral routes.

Attend team, school and other appropriate meetings as required.
