Paint Technician Apprenticeship

Scheme : Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3

Location : Peterlee County Durham

Hours : 36.5 (FullTime)

Salary : 14274.32 (will increase in line with the academic calendar each year rising to 34000 upwards on completion of apprenticeship)

Working for Caterpillar

Caterpillar Peterlee is the worldwide source of Cat Articulated Trucks currently producing an 8model range used in many industries including mining construction and aggregates. The facilitys manufacturing activities use the latest computer analysis techniques robotic technology and a stateoftheart paint plant. Machines from the site are shipped to customers around the world.

During the course of the apprenticeship students will work towards achieving their qualification supported by their line manager technical mentor and Learning & Development team in addition to their academic learning through their training provider and workbased assessor.

Level 3 Paint Technician

Background / Experience required

5 GCSEs at Grade 4 of above (including English Maths and Science) 0R

3 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (including English Maths Science) AND Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations (PEO) OR

3 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above and GCSE in Engineering related subject OR

3 GCSEs Grade 4 or above AND ALevel in Engineering or Science related subject
