We are seeking an enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team.Role and Responsibilities : As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced educators to support students in their social, emotional, and academic development. Your key responsibilities will include : Assisting in the delivery of tailored educational programs and interventions for students with SEMH needs, behavior challenges, and ASD.Providing one-on-one and small group support to enhance students' learning experiences and engagement.Supporting students in managing their emotions and behaviors in a constructive manner.Collaborating with teachers and other staff to create and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs).Promoting positive behavior and resilience, helping students to build self-esteem and confidence.Maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and personal growth.Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and understanding of SEMH and SEN needs.What We Are Looking For : Previous experience working in a school setting, particularly with SEMH, ASD, or challenging behavior is highly desirable.A compassionate and patient approach to education, with a genuine desire to support and motivate young people.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.A relevant qualification (e.g., Teaching Assistant Level 2 / 3 or equivalent) is advantageous.A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.What we offerAs a Teaching Assistant, part of our team, you benefit from :
