About the role

We are looking for talented Associate Lecturers in Law to join our collegial team, contributing to teaching and development of law modules on a part time basis at various times through the - academic year.

The Associate Lecturer posts require lecturing, taking seminar groups, assessment and working as part of a team of tutors.

About Bath Business School and Law

Bath Business School offers distinctive undergraduate and postgraduate business courses that firmly embed creativity, enterprise, and entrepreneurial education within the curriculum. Staff and students are ethically aware, socially engaged and globally connected through business links, research, and professional and creative industry networks. Our provision is underpinned by practice-based interdisciplinary research and we submitted to the REF in . Our Law Degrees

Having begun our law provision with 25 students in we have been able to develop an LLB, two LLM postgraduate degrees, as well as the development of the Bath Law Clinic and our Social Enterprise Clinic. In we had over students at Level 4. We have ambitious plans to grow our law provision and are looking for talented lecturers to contribute to our development.

Our new LLB Law degree has been designed to be unique, and at the cutting edge of legal education. It incorporates a range of business skills and optional modules whilst encompassing the foundations of legal knowledge found in SQE 1 and many elements of SQE 2. We believe in giving our students a high-quality educational experience, exceptional opportunities to become highly employable as well as unrivalled pastoral care. At undergraduate level we also offer multiple placement opportunities including a placement year.

Our LLM in Legal Foundations is designed for non-law graduates who are seeking the foundation subjects and SQE 1 preparation whilst our LLM in Law and Business offers a fusion of law and business-related subject matter, providing a contemporary, practical, and innovative perspective that looks to the future and to the development of creative professionals and entrepreneurs.

Both our LLB and the LLMs offer a range of authentic assessments, as well as the opportunity to take the Law Clinic module. The Bath Law Clinic is a result of an impressive joint venture between Bath Spa University, Stone King LLP and the Citizens Advice Bureau BANES.
