About the role
We have a new opportunity for a Group Reporting Manager to join our Finance team. In this role you will report to the Group Financial Controller and focus on external financial accounting and reporting, providing input on accounting issues. The role works alongside the Senior Finance Manager to deliver key external reports.
The Group Reporting Manager is responsible for the preparation of quarterly external reporting to holders of our listed debt instruments, the preparation of the Group annual report and accounts, and leading the external audit for the Group. The role is also responsible for the preparation of UK statutory accounts. The Group Reporting Manager provides accounting solutions and advice, ensuring appropriate accounting decisions are taken by the Group. The role also provides robust finance input to corporate and financial project activity.
Accountabilities
- Preparation of externally-reported Group consolidated accounts (quarterly bond reporting and annual statutory reporting) under FRS102;
- Resolution of accounting questions with external audit as they arise, to ensure a cleared position well in advance of reporting dates;
- Lead the audit close process for the Group, delivering a timely year end;
- Prepare UK statutory accounts for key entities;
- Provision of optimal technical accounting solutions, to be included in external reporting, plans and business cases;
- Lead, manage and support the business in any financial and corporate activities, including all financial aspects of M&A and financing activities;
- Work with external advisors to update transfer pricing documentation on an annual basis;
- Provide monthly accounting and reporting, and manage external tax service providers for Pinewood’s overseas and legacy holding companies;
- Support the Group’s planning process with the provision of technical accounting solutions to emerging business issues; and
- Support the Group FC and the Financial Performance Manager with the delivery of quarterly presentations and statements for external reporting.
Skills and experience
Degree-level education plus a relevant financial qualification (Such as ACA or ACCA)Strong IFRS or FRS 102 capability, with experience of providing accounting solutions to issues / contracts as they ariseExperience of preparing consolidated accountsExperience of working within a Group or Divisional Finance functionStrong skills across all MS Office applications, with at least intermediate Excel skillsProblem-solving / solution-based capabilityAbility to plan ahead and meet tight deadlinesStrong attention to detail and with an analytical mindsetExcellent written and verbal communication skills across a range of stakeholdersAbility to manage resource in other teams / functions to achieve deliverablesWorking in external audit desirable but not essentialExperience of working with an ERP system / Group consolidation system desirable but not essentialOther information
