Job description

Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are excited to now be offering a temp-perm opportunity for an experienced and professional delivery Van Driver for our client in Andover. This role involves a lot of heavy lifting and manual handling as it is a removals role, meaning physical fitness is absolutely crucial. Previous removals experience would also be advantageous.

Position : Van Driver (Category B)

Days : Monday – Friday

Hours : 07 : 30

Start date : 29th July

Location : Andover

Pay Rate : £12.82 (daytime) – £14.57 (weekends). Holiday Pay Advanced.

The successful Van Driver will have :

experience in delivering using 3.5t vehicles
a valid UK Category B driving licence (max. 6 penalty points)
familiarity with loading and unloading in a safe manner
familiarity with heavy lifting
own reliable transport to travel to work
previous removals experience
knowledge of manual handling techniques
good customer service skills

Responsibilities :

provide excellent customer service during deliveries

adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations

load and unload goods from the van, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle

safely operate our client’s vans to deliver goods

follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher
