Job description

Job title : Pipefitter

Location : Glasgow – Govan and Scotstoun – Based on site andmust be able to attend a recruitment day inGlasgow.

Salary : £37,318.00 (additionalshift allowance of 33% may be applicable)

Requirements : Trade Papers to beprovided when submittingapplication

What you’ll bedoing :

  • Fabricating and installingpipework systems in large and small-bore pipework using differentmaterials (copper, cuni, carbon steel and stainlesssteel)
  • Using a range of hand tools &mechanical equipment to cut, bend and weld pipes as well asinstallation ofpipework
  • Installing utilities aboard ship i.e. sinks, showers,and toilets

Your skills andexperiences :

  • Modern Apprenticeship certificatealso known as Trade Papers (you will be required to providepapers)
  • Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture andinstallation, and use of associated equipment
  • Understanding of manufacturingprocesses
  • Clear understanding of SHE, COSHH risksawareness
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and / or atheight
  • Safety certification i.e. SHE Induction, COSHHawareness, working at height etc.
  • Background in a major construction / manufacturingenvironment
