An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Horizon, the Young Persons Servicewithin Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership, a vibrant new partnership deliveringsubstance use treatment and recovery services across Lincolnshire from April2024. Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership is delivered in partnership betweenTurning Point, Framework and Double Impact. The partnership combines TurningPoint’s national experience as an outstanding substance use provider togetherwith Double Impact’s specialism in lived experience and recovery andFramework’s expertise supporting service users with complex issues.Our ‘Recovery First’ model underpins everything at Lincolnshire RecoveryPartnership, with lived experience recovery fully integrated and visiblethroughout. Lincolnshire’s residents will benefit from Lincolnshire RecoveryPartnership’s highly integrated and highly localised approach, supporting withmultiple issues across all parts of Lincolnshire.As a Young Persons Recovery Worker we offer a starting salary of £25,116rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, rising to£29,383 per year (Pro-Rata). (Dependent on experience you may be offered astarting salary above the initial starting salary).### Role ResponsibilityYoung Persons Recovery workers act as ‘key workers’ to a caseload of youngpeople up to 21 years old, supporting them to achieve their goals around theirsubstance use and develop plans to achieve these. You will support youngpeople to gain a better understanding of substances, enabling them to makeinformed decisions along with giving them the knowledge to stay safe. TheYoung Persons Service offers an outreach service to young people, seeing themwherever best suits them and their needs. The role includes maintainingregular contact with your young people, offering advice, information andpsycho-social interventions as well as completing assessments, risk managementplanning and working closely with our clinical staff and partner agencies.No day is the same in this role but an ability to communicate effectively witha range of young people, colleagues, and partner agencies is essential alongwith an ability to manage different tasks and a commitment to Turning Pointvalues are essential. You may have lived experience of substance usementalhealthhomelessness (self or a significant other), come with experiencesupporting people in health and social care or just have a keen interest insupporting young people; if your values are right, we have a role foreveryone.### The Ideal CandidateYou’ll have an understanding of substance and alcohol use and the challengesand opportunities for young people. However, we also recognise that manypeople have transferrable skills from other backgrounds such as mental health,housing or other health and social care provision. The role is varied, soflexibility, an ability to work dynamically on a one to one and group basiswith young people is vital, but we can help to shape these skills whereneeded. We also look for candidates with excellent communication skills andwho share our values as an organisation. We value individuals with livedexperience but also those who are just interested in this line of work; ourTrainee Recovery Worker program enables individuals without all relevantexperience to gain an entry level position within the organisation beforemoving on to other roles.We value individual creativity and initiative and, whatever your role, youwill be fully involved in identifying opportunities to improve the quality ofour services and the young peoples experience. Your ideas will be listened toand your suggestions implemented wherever possible. You will be supported inyour role by extensive training to help develop your skills.
