We’re Mariposa Care Group, a residential and nursing care provider offering a range of care and support services for our fantastic residents. Now we’re looking for a Wellbeing Coordinator to lead and help deliver a programme of exciting recreational opportunities that meet our residents’ aspirations and maintain existing interests, promoting the person-centred approach for which we’re well known. Ideally, we are looking for someone to have care experience, as this role is best suited for an enthusiastic team player who would like to show their creative side whilst working in a care setting. However, we know people from other walks of life can become the very best in this type of job. If you don’t have the necessary experience, we would more than be happy to work with you so that you can become an excellent Wellbeing Coordinator.

About the role
The aim is to promote wellbeing through developing personalised life stories and participate in the implementation of this in the lifestyle section of personal care plans for each resident. You will plan and provide an ongoing and rewarding calendar incorporating regular group and 1-1 activities, as well as events which recognise significant dates such as Easter, Burns Night, Diwali, Pride, Halloween etc.
You will work with colleagues to motivate and encourage service users to participate in activities that will enhance their social, emotional, and physical wellbeing. You will do this while ensuring our residents maintain dignity and quality of life, supporting them to stay connected with family, friends, and the local community.
Fundraising is also an important part of the role as is arranging photographs of events that take place to create articles for our newsletter and social media.
