Waking Nights Support Worker – Uphall, West Lothian
35 hours per week
Shift times : 10 : 00pm- 9 : 00am (£12.00 per hour)
The Role
We support a diverse group of 5 adults with learning difficulties and autism. You will be supporting these individuals to live an ordinary life with bespoke levels of support in and around various areas of Uphall and Livingston. Our Support Workers provide a person centred approach in providing quality support, which makes our service very flexible and adaptable to each individual’s needs. We support people to enhance their quality of life at home and within their community.
You will be working in the person's own home ensuring opportunities to reach their full potential are available. Please note this role does require lone working, therefore experience would be preferable. We do support service users who are nonverbal, so excellent and adaptable communication skills are essential.
The role will involve : encouraging service users to participate in their personal care when preparing for night time and for the morning, medication administration, adhering to cleaning schedules, ironing, conducting nightly checks, accurate recording, ensuring the house is secure and completing financial and health and safety checks.
Drivers preferred due to limited public transport but this is not essential.
An enhanced PVG is required for this role
