Exciting Opportunity for an NVQ 3 / BTEC 3 Electrical Plant Engineer in Hartlepool - a chance to work only half of the year

Working 4 on 4 off (two days and two nights)

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our client's dynamic Engineering Team in Hartlepool. This permanent role offers a competitive salary and the chance to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment that values your expertise.

Position Details :

  • Permanent Role with four days on four days off (two nights and two days then four off)
  • Salary : £42,500 initially increasing to £46,400 plus quarterly bonus and annual bonus which also includes any overtime you work
  • Working Hours : 4 on 4 off

Key Responsibilities :

  • Install, program, and troubleshoot electrical drive systems, particularly Siemens and Allen Bradley
  • Modify PLC electrical programs and resolve faults effectively
  • Work on AC / DC motor / gearbox drive systems / variable speed motor control with inverters and converters and speed feedback devices
  • Read schematic drawings
  • Work with PLCs Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Mitsubishi
  • Ensure plant operations meet top-notch quality and customer service targets
  • Maintain high compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Provide fast and efficient engineering services, addressing quality and safety issues immediately
  • Record and report maintenance activities using management systems

    • What We're Looking For :

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade, or completion of a recognised apprenticeship
  • Strong industrial background, qualified to 18th Edition IEE standards with BTEC ONC / HNC level or equivalent
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance, especially in commercial or heavy engineering environments
  • Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations and safety circuits
  • Flexibility, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to continuous development
