Position Summary
The Regulatory Manager for Global Auto Care is responsible for building and maintaining a robust compliance program in Europe for our automotive Appearance, Performance and Air Freshener products, and setting the strategic regulatory vision to help enable and sustain product development and market growth.
Responsibilities
Universal Accountabilities
- Represent Regulatory on cross functional product development and commercialization teams, providing expert guidance on local market regulatory requirements, risk assessments and strategies
- Ensure local market compliance of new and existing products
- Review and approve claims, packaging / labeling, and marketing communication materials (aligned within in-house process)
- Remain current with emerging / changing regulations, interpret complex information and summarize impact for other functions / leadership teams, in a clear, concise and focused manner
- Interact with industry trade groups and Regulatory authorities
- Regulatory research
- Maintain technical and safety documents as appropriate for internal and external stakeholders
Specific Accountabilities
Work collaboratively with Legal, R&D, Marketing, Packaging and Supply Chain teams to develop and implement robust regulatory strategiesContribute to the development and continuous improvement of Regulatory team processes to drive efficiency and enable product development timelinesSupport implementation of digital transformation initiativesConduct raw material and formula reviewsProvide regulatory guidance text for local market labelsProvide required documentation to applicable agenciesRepresent Energizer Global Auto Care as a subject matter expert in third party associations / committees / working groupsSafety Data Sheet creationChemical and Product registrationChemical use advice to Research and Development during product formulationResearching regulatory requirementsSupport cross-functional teams to deliver strategic plansModification and maintenance of database for product informationPerform additional duties as assignedWhat we are looking for
Required Skills and Experience
Excellent English fluencyBSc in a related field, with 5+ years of experience and understanding of safety data sheets and chemical formulationsSignificant knowledge of chemicals regulations and Safety Data Sheets (Europe) pertaining to product ingredients, classification, labelling and packagingExcellent communication both verbal and written, interpersonal and organizational skillsDetail oriented to produce accurate and timely resultsAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work independentlyAbility to change focus quicklyAbility to apply general guidance to varied situationsCollaborative, team playerProficient in Microsoft IT packagesExperience in consumer goods (preferably chemical)Creative thinkerWillingness to learn and adaptWorking Relationships
Reports to Senior Regulatory Manager (in UK)Leads two direct reportsKey relationships internally will include Regulatory & Government Affairs, Legal, Marketing, Research & Development, and Commercial teams.External engagement with 3rd party consultants, and external suppliers.Work Environment
