Infrastructure Engineer - On-site - £50,000-£60,000

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in virtualisation, Windows Server environments, and cloud-based technologies. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting complex infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud platforms in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Administer and support Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V, and Azure environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across servers, networks, and SAN storage (Dell / EMC).
Manage and document system upgrades, patches, and configurations.
Provide Tier 3 support and technical guidance to internal teams.
Monitor system performance, backups, and network uptime.
Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards (GDPR, cybersecurity).
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on infrastructure projects and procurement.

Required Skills :

Proven experience with Windows Server, Hyper-V, AD, Azure, and O365.

Hands-on with Dell EMC SANs, SonicWall, and network monitoring tools.

Strong PowerShell scripting and automation capabilities.

Familiarity with DR / BCP strategies and compliance frameworks.

Strong project management, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to support users and teams remotely and onsite.

Willingness to travel occasionally for installations and upgrades.

MCSE and CCNA certifications are a positive
