Our client, a specialised school, college, and children's home based in the countryside of Surrey, is actively looking for empathetic Support Workers to join their team on temp-to-perm contracts, contributing positively to the lives of vulnerable children.
Vetro Social Care is looking for committed Children's Learning Disability Support Workers to join our team, supporting children and young people with learning disabilities in their accommodation. You will work alongside a dedicated team of professionals to help these young people thrive, develop their skills, and gain independence in a safe and supportive environment.
Overview :
- Title : Children's Learning Disability Support Worker
- Pay : £13.68ph inclusive of holiday pay
- Location : Bramley
- Hours : A mixture of mornings and afternoons, night shifts are also, with weekends included. 07 : 00-14 : 00, 14 : 00-21 : 00, 21 : 00-07 : 00. 07 : 00-21 : 00.
- You will have every other weekend off

Support children and young people with learning disabilities in their day-to-day activities and social engagementWork collaboratively with support workersEncourage independence and enhance well-being through positive reinforcementAssist with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, mobility, and ensuring comfort and dignity in all activitiesProtect young people from any risks to their health and wellbeing, ensuring a safe and supportive environmentProvide both emotional and practical support to help manage and overcome challengesBe proactive in managing challenging behaviours, working to minimise incidents and ensuring the safety and comfort of all involvedWhat you'll need to be a successful Children's Support Worker :
A genuine desire to support young people with learning disabilities and help them reach their full potentialA compassionate, patient, and resilient natureAt least 6 months of experience in working with children or within a similar social care or learning disability settingA valid UK driving licence (desirable)An Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service) or willingness to obtain oneThe right to work in the UKIf you're passionate about helping children and young people with learning disabilities flourish, we would love to hear from you.
