SYSTRA are looking for Building Services Engineering Design Engineer Apprentices to support the growing portfolio of work within the Rail Systems and Built Environment Practice. Missions / Main Duties
The primary role of an Apprentice is to provide technical support to project teams by undertaking specialist and technical tasks that support the overall objectives set by the Lead engineer. The main duties are to :
The course will take up to five years to complete depending on previous qualifications and the course chosen. The apprenticeships comprise onthejob practical training with academic learning. This approach combines facetoface teaching laboratory workshops reflective practice and formal assessment.
The experiential learning element of the courses focuses on the students workplace and specific areas of project work they are undertaking with regard to meeting key attributes required of a professionally recognised Building Services Engineer.
Students will work towards the end point assessment for this Degree Apprenticeship which will provide Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status with the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE)via professional review.
Students will be required to attend the university on a day release basis.
Profile / Skills
A minimum 112 UCAS points or equivalent. Apprentices applying without these formal UCAS points but with sufficient relevant work experience will be considered for the course. All applicants are required to have GCSE English Language at Grade C or above and Mathematics at Grade B or an equivalent qualification.
