A large SEN School based in Newham is on the hunt for an Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs for an ASAP start.

You will be tasked with supporting a wide variation of needs including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, Speech and Language, and more! The students' needs vary in severity; some will be verbal, some non-verbal.

If you have any experience with children aged 11+ with SEN, we would love to hear from you! This does not have to be direct school experience; any transferable skills will be considered.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

• ASD Teaching Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant
• Support students with SEN on a day-to-day basis (ASD, SLD, SP&L, and more)
• Secondary opportunities
• Liaising with Class Teachers and the SENDCO regarding the progress of children
• Provide a stimulating and safe learning environment for children
• Delivering specialist interventions
• Liaising with the school's therapists
• ASAP Start - Long-Term - Full Time
• 90 - 110 per day
• Located in the Borough of Newham
