Job descriptionHave previous experience within Construction underwriting and / or underwriting portfolios and binders. Working with a specialist broker panel is preferred. Good communication skills and past experience with dealing with clients by email and telephone. Have previous experience with proactively managing own workflow. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Underwriter to further their career. The successful candidate will responsible for underwriting Construction new business risks and become part of a team that is focused on delivering market leading service.
Duties of Senior Underwriter :
- Provide and maintain a good level of underwriting
- Review broker generated quotes and encourage broker to place the business by highlighting product benefits and negotiating terms.
- Develop new broker relationships through regular development meetings in conjunction with the Head of Construction Sector Sales and Business Development Managers.
- Handle workflow from enquiry receipt to outcome through the workflow platforms.
- Actively seek new business prospects utilising the CRM system accordance with the CRM Working Practices guide.
- Providing coaching and knowledge transfer to the wider team
