Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available to join a PCI Pharma Services Hay on Wye Site as a Finance Apprentice .
This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to join a thriving team based in Hay on Wye . PCI are a global, integrated CDMO (Contract development & manufacturing organisation) who are transforming patients’ lives across the globe.
The successful candidate will be able to develop new skills in a f riendly, thriving, fast paced finance team, with full support will be provided for training and development opportunities.
Apprenticeship :
- To actively and enthusiastically work towards successfully achieving the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification
- To complete any tasks assigned by HWGTA (apprenticeship training provider) or any other training provider to support your apprenticeship
Sales Ledger :
Processing sales invoicingPreparation of schedules to support revenue recognition and cost matchingMonthly reconciliation of recognised revenueManage customer invoice queries whilst maintaining positive customer relationshipsProduction and review of aged debtors’ reports, including working with clients to ensure prompt payment of monies duePurchase Ledger :
Ensure timely transacting of supplier invoicesReview of supplier statementsReceive and respond to supplier queriesEnsuring timely receipt of goodsReview and processing of employee cash expenses & employee credit cards in line with PCI Travel and Expenses policyMonthly review of aged creditors and goods received not invoiced (GRNI) reportsOther :
Assisting with year-end audit requestsCarry out other month end procedures as an when requiredSupport with business process improvements and lean ways of workingUndertake any duties which may reasonably be required of youCandidate Criteria
Essential
A keen interest in Finance and want to study in this areaComputer literate with demonstrable experience of Microsoft Office Excel and other associated Microsoft Office packagesHigh level of numeracy and literacy skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAble to work effectively and contribute as part of a teamAble to maintain confidentiality at all times to ensure compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders either verbally or via written correspondenceA genuine interest and commitment to learning and development opportunitiesReliable and able to demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skillsDesirable
