Homeless & Housing Solutions Officer
Location : Redditch Borough Council (Hybrid - 2 days in office) Contract : 3 months Minimum Hours : 37 hours per week Rate : £30 per hour (Umbrella) Start Date : ASAP
About the Role
Redditch Borough Council is seeking an experienced Homeless & Housing Solutions Officer to join the team on a temporary basis. This role requires a proactive and knowledgeable individual who can effectively manage housing solutions and provide critical support to those facing homelessness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess homelessness applications in line with housing legislation and policies
- Provide expert advice and practical solutions to individuals at risk of homelessness
- Develop and implement personalised housing plans
- Work closely with landlords, housing providers, and support agencies
- Identify and secure suitable temporary and permanent accommodation
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legal and policy frameworks
