Duties
Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards.Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to during food preparation and production.Assist in the development of new pastry recipes and menu items, contributing creative ideas to enhance our offerings.Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry station, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use.Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, notifying management when reordering is necessary.Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.Skills
Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or bakery setting.Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations related to food preparation.Proficient in various culinary techniques related to baking and pastry production.Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.A creative flair for designing visually appealing pastries and desserts.Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.Here at the Blue Pigeons we want to create the very best dining experiences for our guests showcasing the very best of the seasons from our kitchen.
