About the role

This 'Outstanding' Primary and Secondary SEND school, based in South Tyneside is looking to appoint an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistantto work on a small class size of 9 and on a 1-to-1 basis with pupils on a full-time basis. Working in this Primary and Secondary SEND school as part of an established team, the desired Teaching Assistantwill be working with pupils with SEND including Autism, MLD, SLD, ADHD, Specific Learning Difficulties and Speech and Language Difficulties. This full time Teaching Assistantrole is a full academic year long cover from September with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person. Experience of working with non-verbal children / young people and use of PECS is desirable. Positive behaviour management training is desirable but not essential (e.g. PRICE, Team Teach, MAPA).
