Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting a full-time, Teaching Assistant to support within Early Years for a Primary School in the Eccles, Salford area, starting in September 2024. There could be the option of securing a permanent contract for the right person.

Teaching Assistant role & responsibilities :

Use specialist skills / training / experience to support pupils and enhance their learning and so progress

Undertake programmes linked to local and national learning strategies eg. Literacy, numeracy, EYFS recording achievement and progress and feeding back to the teacher

Prepare, maintain, and use equipment / resources required to meet the lesson plans / relevant learning activity and assist pupils in their use

To work with small groups of children and to take responsibility for their learning

Non-negotiables :

Previous experience of working with children aged 4-11 in a voluntary or paid capacity

Knowledge of the EYFS Framework
