Senior Accountant Job in Inverness

Inverness

Up to £45,000 (DOE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accountant role located in Inverness. Puro Accountancy are thrilled to be representing this position on behalf of our esteemed leading Chartered Certified Accountancy firm with a significant presence across northern Scotland.

In this full-time role, the Senior Accountant will play a vital role in supporting junior members of staff and reviewing the work of others as well as providing exceptional services to clients across various industries. The successful candidate may be required to travel between two of their various offices in Inverness and Tain.

Responsibilities of a Senior Accountant include but are not limited to :

  • Preparation of VAT returns, general bookkeeping assignments and management accounts for various types of clients.
  • Completing financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and companies.
  • Completing draft business tax computations.
  • Filing of financial statements and corporate tax returns
  • Assisting junior members of staff and reviewing the work of others.
  • Liaising with clients both face to face and over the phone, assisting with any queries and resolving any issues.

    • What are we looking for in our ideal Senior Accountant :

  • At least 3-5 years of experience within a UK Accountancy Practice.
  • Previous experience in a client facing role and reviewing the work of others.
  • Be driven and proactive, ability to work to tight deadlines and budgets.
  • Good knowledge of all around accounts and tax.
  • Happy to commute between Tain and Inverness.
