We are seeking a talented Local Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in driving new client registrations and improving service penetration within our Vets.

About the role

As a Local Marketing Manager, you’ll work on a hybrid basis from our Support Office in Handforth (Cheshire) and you will be responsible for creating and implementing regional and local marketing plans that align with our long-term strategy, annual marketing plan, and partner growth ambitions.

Working closely with our Area Relationship Managers, you will act as a general marketer and "quasi agency," tailoring marketing plans to the changing needs of our practice portfolio.

Key Responsibilities will include :

  • Planning and delivering local and community marketing plans, amplifying national campaigns and designing quarterly opt-in programs
  • Developing bespoke marketing plans for priority practices identified by Area Relationship Managers
  • Supporting Area Relationship Managers in fostering strong partnerships with our Joint Venture practices within your assigned region, providing expert advice, analysing their needs, and communicating results
  • Collaborating with the wider Pets Marketing team, leveraging their specialized skills when required
  • Working closely with Regional Directors and Area Relationship Managers to deliver proactive communications and exceptional local marketing support for practices
  • Acting as a key point of contact with our local media agency, identifying innovative ways to reach local community audiences
  • Generating insightful reporting and analysis, including ROI, campaign performance, engagement and conversion patterns, and website / app traffic, to drive informed decision-making
  • Continuously analysing campaign and funnel performance, adopting a test-and-learn approach across all activities
  • Optimising digital investment and channel mix to maximize return on investment (c.£10m) across performance channels

About you

  • Hands-on experience in local marketing across the marketing mix
  • Resilient and tenacious with a proven track record of delivering impactful marketing activations at a local level
  • Commercially astute, able to generate demonstrable results through effective marketing activities
  • A team player with strong collaboration skills, capable of building relationships with various stakeholders, including Local Marketing colleagues, specialists, operations teams, and Vet Practice Partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at multiple levels
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of reporting on campaign success and providing valuable insights to Vet Partners
  • Experience in copywriting for different channels with keen attention to detail in proofing copy and creative
  • Knowledge and experience across owned, earned, and paid marketing channels, particularly digital and social media marketing
  • An inquisitive mindset with a passion for learning and professional growth within the team and the wider business
  • Ideally, experience in local marketing, account management and working across a multi-site operation with local business stakeholders
  • Hybrid working : Office based working from our Handforth (Cheshire) Support Office for 2 days a week
