Are you an Administrator with a Pastoral background working in a school or similar environment

Aspire People are recruiting for a number of Schools in the local area that are in need of Administrators with a Pastoral background. It is ADVANTAGEOUS that applicants have some school experience and be proficient on SIMS / ARBOR / BROMCOM. However, applicants with STRONG PASTORAL experience in a similar sector will also be considered.

You MUST BE willing to work on a TEMPORARY basis and between the hours of 8 : & 4 :

There may also be an opportunity to move to a permanent contract within the Schools although this is NOT guaranteed.

As a School Pastoral Administrator your day to day responsibilities will include but not limited to :

  • To administratively support the pastoral team with responsibility for Pastoral Care and Safeguarding.
  • Support student welfare duties, liaising with students, parents, and staff as well as outside agencies
  • Establish constructive relationships with parents / carers, exchanging information, supporting home to school and community links.
  • Establish constructive relationships and communication with outside agencies / professionals
  • To be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to Child Protection and all aspects of safeguarding children, health, safety and security and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
  • To be a visible, supportive presence around the school site
  • Provide general administrative support , make phone calls, take messages, diary management, minute taking, word-processing and other IT based tasks, responding to both complex and routine correspondence, photocopying, filing, completing standard forms
  • Be responsible for keeping and updating records on school systems as agreed with other staff, contributing to reviews of systems / records as requested in relation to pastoral support ….
  • Record, analyse and produce information, statistics, records, data and reports as requested. ' attendance or behaviour data.
  • Complete referral forms to relevant social care teams (MASH, Early Help etc), CAMHS and other services.

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO FULLY REGISTER WITH US INCLUDING PROVIDING RIGHT TO WORK DOCUMENTS ALONG WITH OBTAINING AN ENHANCED CHILD WORKFORCE DBS THAT WILL BE PROCESS BY US BUT COME AT A COST OF £47.20 (UNLESS YOU ALREADY HAVE ONE REGISTERED ON THE UPDATE SERVICE).
