Job description

Are you an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer looking for your next career move? The Role As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient maintenance and operation of plant, equipment, and building services. Your responsibilities will include : Identifying and managing risks related to on-site equipment, improving machinery performance, and implementing preventative maintenance programmes. Using advanced equipment and technology to maintain a seamless production environment, while liaising with clients on specific maintenance needs. Fault finding and diagnosing issues with a range of machinery, including 3-phase motors, drives, inverters, PLC diagnostics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Supporting team members with health and safety compliance, writing and reviewing risk assessments, and ensuring legislative documentation is completed accurately. Providing electrical and mechanical expertise, particularly in working with heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes. Managing building services-related issues, working alongside the on-site facilities team. Acting as the responsible person for the department when required and deputising for the Shift Leader during leave or absence. Working to a continental shift pattern (specific details to be discussed in the interview) with flexibility for overtime, including nights and weekends. You To be successful in this role, you’ll bring the following skills and experience : Electrical or mechanical bias with a recognised apprenticeship or time-served experience in manufacturing maintenance. City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical disciplines. Strong background in fault-finding and problem-solving within a fast-paced industrial environment. Experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, inverters, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to diagnose and repair PLC systems. Strong communication and customer service skills to work effectively with clients and the existing team. Ability to supervise contractors, write risk assessments, and manage method statements. Experience working with high-voltage (HV) and high-pressure (HP) systems is an advantage. What’s in it for you?
