Operations Manager

Adept Resourcing Commercial Department are excited to be working with a dynamic SME in the engineering and maintenance sector, dedicated to providing high-quality service and innovative solutions to their clients.Through continued growth, we are looking for a driven and organised Operations Manager to join our client and oversee the day-to-day operations of the business. Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily operations and ensure accurate scheduling for engineersAllocate jobs and breakdowns to engineers, optimising schedules to ensure full-service completionSupport HR functions, including recruitment, one-to-one meetings, and staff developmentLead strategic growth initiatives, focusing on operational efficiency and business scalabilityManage contract renewals, annual leave requests, and maintain essential recordsCollaborate with internal teams to ensure that IT systems are future-proofed and support operational goals

Skills & AttributesHighly organised with excellent attention to detailStrong problem-solving ability with a practical approach to managing workloadsTarget-driven, with a focus on achieving business and performance goalsExceptional communication skills and a natural ability to lead teamsProactive, adaptable, and eager to embrace new technologies for operational improvement

Qualifications & ExperienceProven experience in managing operations in a customer-focused environmentExperience in the maintenance, waste management or facilities - contracts / service-based salesFamiliarity with workforce planning, scheduling tools, and performance monitoringStrong leadership experience in fast-paced, results-oriented environments
