Job description

We are recruiting for a Digital Marketing Manager for a well established family run furniture retailer based at their head office in Oldbury.This Digital Marketing Manager role is a permanent position working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm offering a salary of £40-50k per annum dependent on experience.As Digital Marketing Manager you will report into the Finance Director leading a team of 8 with responsibility for articulating and executing a strategy that grows sales and profit for the website, drives footfall into the stores and increase brand awareness. Your main duties will be as follows :

  • Working closely with the Directors and external marketing agencies to interpret and implement agreed marketing strategies across all marketing channels.
  • Manage all online activity in relation to traffic acquisition, sales, conversion and testing and reporting outcomes.
  • Directly managing in-house creative content and design in the production of adverts (press and digital) and other marketing materials.
  • Working with the Development agency to schedule and plan website development and maintenance in line with the current strategy.
  • Managing the team to improve quality and traffic acquisition.
  • Research the market to discover new trends and technologies to improve digital performance.
  • Analyse various data to deliver data-driven strategies in order to deliver top performance and achieve KPIs.
  • Oversee or directly manage digital marketing channels across PPC, SEO, Display, affiliates and email marketing and social media.
  • Directly responsible for PPC, SEO, Email Marketing, and organic Social Media performances.
  • Develop a content calendar and oversee website uploads and landing page development.
  • Driving new customer acquisition through the right mix of digital marketing channels.
  • Shaping and delivering the e-commerce strategy to drive on / off-line traffic and sales and improve the customer experience.
  • Using CRM to increase conversion and loyalty amongst customers.
  • Analysing data from retention marketing campaigns and reporting performance insights to recommend improvements.
  • Supporting optimisation of email and automated communication flows, developing new flows to make the best use of insights in timing, targeting and content.
  • Managing the customer database and communication using various channels, including email, post, and SMS.

We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience :

  • Experienced in the management of Digital Marketing or e-Commerce
  • Proven success from a retail environment
  • Strong people management skills with previous experience in leading marketing teams of 5+
  • Knowledge of implementing digital marketing concepts such as PPC, SEO, social media, display and affiliate channels.
  • Providing insight to optimise product and price point mix across a wide catalogue of products.
  • Confidence in developing and overseeing retail and eCommerce-focused digital marketing strategies.
  • Understanding of UX, web design, customer flow and web analysis.
  • Confidence in traffic analysis, reporting tools and optimisation.
  • Knowledge of Attribution modelling, website speed optimisation, A / B testing, conversion management, sales journey optimisation, traffic analysis and reporting tools.
  • Highly commercial with an analytical mindset.
  • A hands-on approach and attitude to get things done.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM, in particular using customer behaviour data to serve relevant recommendations to customers
  • High proficiency in relevant reporting tools including Google Analytics.
  • Strong understanding of customer behaviour and value drivers in retention models.
