Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust are looking for highly motivated qualified and newly qualified staff nurses to join our Gastroenterology ward (17) at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. The ward is a 24 mixed bedded unit that provides care for patients with Gastroenterology and General Medical conditions.
You will be joining a dedicated and enthusiastic nursing team who will help and support you whether you are starting out in your career or have years of experience under your belt.
Everyday within this role is different and offers the opportunity to deal with a variety of patient needs.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development and / or implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. As the role develops he / she will be expected to continue with their personal development both by attending appropriate courses
and day to day experience working on the ward, until they are able to be the designated person able to regularly take charge of the ward / department. They will then be expected to provide an effective, professional and managerial leadership focus, in the absence of the
ward manager or deputy.
