Network Engineer

Role : Network Architect

Contract Length : #removed# (with a view to extend)

Day Rate : £600 - £620 (via umbrella)

Location : Southampton or Leicester (3-4 days on site)

SC Clearance : Active SC

About the role :

Network Architect for on-premises critical national infrastructure solution leading a mix of network new build, tech refresh and live service activities.

Working with networking infrastructure including Cisco switches, firewalls, routers, ISE, F5 load-balancers, Juniper SRX, and SolarWinds monitoring.

Knowledge of a wide range of networking concepts and technologies including :

• IPSec - site to site
• Layer 2 e.g. STP, VPC, VLAN, OTV
• Layer 3 e.g. IP, VRF, OSPF, QoS, IDS, HSRP, GRE
• F5 LTM, Big DNS (GTM)
• CCNP level understanding

Documenting solutions into HLDs and LLDs as well as overseeing the overall network configuration management.

Providing Networking leadership within the organisation and for the client when required.

Evaluating Networking technology choices to address client requirements.
