Role

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our operations, carrying out take-offs, and tenders for a range of clients. Prior experience in an estimating role along with familiarity with industry standards desired, willingness to learn and build a long-term career.

Full Time office base role in Smethwick 7.45am – 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 3.15 pm Friday

Key Responsibilities Include but not limited to the following :

• Knowledge of Metal Fabrication
• Completion of budget and full quotations on behalf of our clients.
• An understanding of architectural, and other specialist drawings, plans and specifications to provide take offs and quotations.
• Perform accurate project take–offs to the required level of detail utilising measuring take-off tools and software for precision.
• Executing assigned estimating tasks with precision and attention to detail.
• Handling incoming telephone calls, managing messages or redirections as required maintaining clear communication.
• Working closely with your line Manager
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and explain estimates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Cost Saving Solutions : Proactively identify potential innovative cost-saving solutions and value engineering opportunities to present to clients, enhancing competitiveness and maximizing project profitability.
• Keep an up-to-date log of current enquires and work to a logical grading system to prioritise work.
• Experience of CRM Systems preferred.
• Knowledge of press brakes, guillotine, laser / turret machinery
