Community Support Worker - Weymouth / Dorchester

Our adult services programme is looking to expand our offering within our care packages in the West region. We are looking for an individual who is independent, adaptable and proactive to join our community team in the Weymouth and Dorchester areas.

You would need to hold a full Driving license and have access to your own vehicle to be suitable for this role.

We have Full Time and Part Time vacancies available. You would be required to help support individuals in their own homes and participate with activities such as swimming, walking groups, day trips and holidays. You would also be supporting people with daily living skills such as Cooking, cleaning and medication routines.

You would be required to work shifts such as 07 : 00 -16 : 00, 14 : 00- 22 : 00, You would work alternate weekends and do sleep ins (sleep ins receive an additional payment).

A support workers day would include :

  • Sharing your skills and life knowledge with the people we support to enable good life skills and independence when living in the community
  • Maintaining consistent and accurate records regarding care plans, finances, appointments and medication
  • Following the support plan in plan for each person we support to enable the person to feel comfortable and happy, adapting this as required based on change in behaviour
  • Providing some elements of personal care from personal hygiene prompts, helping to bath and wash, medication
