Job description
This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week / Flexible or compressed working patterns available.
This role is based in the office.
Working within our advanced manufacturing facility, you will use your existing skills and experience across a variety of departments with teams of engineers, all working on projects critical to protecting national security.
As the Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer, you’ll be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality within our manufacturing operations.
You’ll use your communication skills to influence senior management on CI priorities and performance, providing guidance and recommendations. Additionally, you’ll use your expert knowledge and experience to coach managers and teams to develop their understanding of CI methodologies, enabling them to implement improvement initiatives.
More About You
To apply for this role, you will already have :
Proven experience in a continuous improvement role within a manufacturing environment e.g. food, electronics, machining or automotive.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
To strengthen your application, it would be beneficial if you also have :
Experience training and mentoring others.
Ability to analyse manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
Experience of working in a low volume high mix manufacturing environment.
Experience of reporting the effectiveness of implemented changes.

Analyse current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize production workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to streamline operations.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of implemented changes.
Train and mentor staff on best practices and new processes.
