About Us : Robert Half is a leading recruitment agency, and we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our client's finance team. This role is crucial in managing and maintaining the company's credit policies, ensuring timely payments, and minimizing bad debt.
Job Responsibilities :
- Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
- Set up and maintain accurate credit limits.
- Review and approve customer credit applications.
- Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments.
- Contact customers via phone, email, and letters to chase overdue invoices.
- Negotiate payment plans with customers where necessary.
- Issue monthly customer statements and reminder letters.
- Reconcile customer accounts to ensure all payments are correctly allocated.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of all collection activities.
- Prepare regular reports on debtors and outstanding balances for management.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas of improvement.
- Report on the status of credit and collection activities.
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve customer queries.
- Liaise with external agencies, legal departments, and collection agencies when necessary.
- Ensure all credit control procedures comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Recommend improvements to credit policies and procedures as necessary.
- Maintain positive working relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer queries and concerns promptly.
