Full Time - 35 hours per week.
We are looking for someone with initiative and enthusiasm to join our team and take up this fantastic opportunity to contribute to the continuous development of the University Grounds & Landscape.
The post holder will assist in the delivery of the grounds maintenance service across the University Estate or any allocated University location and will ensure that the service within this area is delivered in accordance with the agreed Landscape Management Plan
You must have a land based industry background, with an interest in landscaping, gardening or estate work. You should also be self-motivated and have good organisational skills.
The Opportunity :
You will be a member of the grounds maintenance team responsible for delivering excellent standards throughout the University. Your work will ensure the biodiversity, longevity and overall success of the grounds provision.
Your skills and attributes for success :
- Be an enthusiastic and self-motivated person who gives reliable service at a consistently high level
- Be able to work as part of a team but also to be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- You will have an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a land based industry, willing to undertake training, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Work outside all year in a range of environments and conditions.
- Drive work vans and other self-propelled equipment
