This is a fantastic opportunity to positively impact children who need extra guidance in managing their emotions and behaviour.The RoleAs a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who struggle with emotional regulation and behavioural difficulties, often due to anxiety, trauma, or other challenges. Your role will be to provide guidance, encouragement, and support to help them develop positive coping strategies.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesYou will work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small group settings, offering personalised support to help them engage with learning and manage their behaviour. Alongside assisting the class teacher with setting up and clearing away lessons, you will play an active role in promoting a positive and structured learning environment. Your patience, empathy, and resilience will be key to helping these children build confidence and succeed in school.Who Should Apply?The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and able to remain calm in challenging situations. Experience working with children who display challenging behaviour is beneficial, but a positive and compassionate attitude is just as important. The ability to commute to South Gloucestershire (BS15) is essential.This role is particularly well-suited for graduates in psychology, education, or related fields, as well as those with a background in sports, art, or drama.
