We have an exciting opportunity to be able to appoint a Community Facilities Manager to oversee the smooth running of these buildings. We are seeking a confident, personable, and customer-focused individual with the drive, commitment, and attention to detail necessary to handle all the day to day bookings, manage our wonderful facilities team and run the busy office environment.
This is a Full-Time permanent full-time role working weekdays with occasional weekend overtime work too and due to the nature of the role and context, there is a genuine occupational requirement to be a practising Christian in accordance with the Equality Act 2010. The role is subject to an up to date ‘Enhanced’ DBS check.
What you’ll be doing :
Operational – staff management, bookings, enquiries, finances, management of supplies, maintenance, cleaning, and IT (all with great support as needed)
Health, Safety and Sustainability – Policy updates, inspections, security checks, accident reporting, hygiene, recycling, sustainability initiatives
Marketing – Website updates, social media, brochures, advertising and promotions, reviews
Community Activities – Support our café and food bank, support church events in the community such as craft fairs, fetes, and pantomimes
Who you’ll be :

- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Experience of working in a church context would be desirable
- Experienced in managing community buildings or equivalent desirable
- Experience of leading and developing staff, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
- Able to see the bigger picture while maintaining grip and detail
- A self-starter able to work on own initiative, to identify problems and find solutions quickly
- Able to prioritize competing demands
- Able to understand financial reports and budgets and communicate these to the wider team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, exercising initiative and judgment
- Proven ability to supervise and motivate colleagues and volunteers
- A good understanding of equality and diversity
- Ability to respond to changing needs within the daily, weekly and annual schedule
- Willingness to work flexibly
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
