The Role & Key Responsibilities
Job Title : Engineering Manager Location : Flixborough, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, UK Role : Permanent - Full Time Contract and Shift details : Permanent – Monday – Friday 37.5hrs per week (Flexibility is needed)
Join our dynamic team as an Engineering Manager and lead the charge in maintaining and enhancing our engineering-based systems. At ABN we value innovation, reliability, and teamwork. With a focus on high-volume manufacturing in the animal feed industry, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on Engineering Manager to oversee the seamless operation of our engineering department.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure compliance and maintenance of engineering-based systems.
- Oversee spares and consumable stock management.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained as per the agreed Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule and asset care program.
- Financial control and responsibility – Labour, R&R budget, HS&E and buildings and maintenance
- Lead a team of 3 engineers & provide hands-on guidance and support.
- Promoting best practice and right first time with the team offering positive leadership and continued development
- Ensure the sites meet compliance with all relevant Legislation & Statutory Inspections
- Working closely with our operations manager contribute to the budget plan for the financial year and maintain control of spend (by month).
- Contribute to overall budget plan and CAPEX submissions presenting any budget deviation requirements, proposing solutions for potential savings or process optimisation plans as well as looking at ways to improve overall site performance.
This is a great opportunity for someone that is looking for a management position but still likes to be hands on the tools and utilise your experience. We have lots of opportunity for improvements but alongside a varied workload you will have the support of a great team and onsite management.
