Salary : £84 - £108 per day (Dependent on experience)
Start Date : Immediate

Are you a graduate with a passion for education , looking to gain hands-on classroom experience?
GSL Education are offering a brilliant opportunity for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Ashington . This role is ideal for recent graduates keen to develop their skills and make a meaningful impact on young learners’ education.
Why This Role?
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant , you’ll work alongside experienced teachers to support pupils academically and personally , helping to shape their learning journey in a supportive school environment .
What You’ll Be Doing :
Assisting teachers in delivering exciting and engaging lessons .
Providing one-to-one and small-group support to help pupils reach their learning goals.
Supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an inclusive classroom setting.
Helping with literacy, numeracy, and social development interventions .
Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers.
Assisting with classroom organisation and behaviour management .
Building positive relationships with pupils , encouraging confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
What We’re Looking For :
- A degree in Education, Psychology, Child Development , or a related field (preferred but not essential).
- Experience working with children in education, childcare, or mentoring roles is desirable.
- A genuine passion for teaching and supporting young learners .
- Strong communication skills to engage with pupils and staff.
- Patience, resilience, and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and development.
- An up-to-date CV (covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps).
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
