Up to £32,000 DOE

Puro Associates are pleased to be working with a leading accountancy practice who are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team in Wolverhampton. The practice provides a wide range of accounting services to clients in various industries and are looking for a bookkeeper who can manage a portfolio of clients with accuracy and attention to detail, using double entry bookkeeping.

n Responsibilities as a Bookkeeper :

Sales and purchase invoice entry

Recording and reconciliation of bank / cash / credit card / paypal transactions

Preparation and / or review of CIS submissions

Assist clients with any bookkeeping related queries

Liaise with HMRC as necessary to reconcile VAT / PAYE control accounts

Posting month end journals such as payroll, depreciation, accruals and prepayments

Preparation and submission of VAT returns including VAT schemes

n Requirements of the Bookkeeper :

A minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles

Excellent knowledge of accounting software, such as Xero or QuickBooks

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
