The Crown Estate is seeking a dedicated and skilled Horticulturist to join our team at Windsor on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract . This role involves maintaining and developing the gardens and associated areas to the highest horticultural standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintenance Tasks : Grass cutting, edging, strimming, weeding, herbicide application, irrigation, turf maintenance, young tree maintenance, shrub and rose bed maintenance.
- Development Tasks : Turf laying and seeding, tree and shrub planting, bulb planting, path laying, drainage and ditching work.
- Professional Conduct : Adhere to risk assessments and safe systems of work, implement plans from the Team Supervisor, maintain high horticultural standards, interact courteously with visitors, ensure security and care of tools and machinery.
- Team Support : Assist in delivering wider Estate objectives, undertake special projects as agreed with the Supervisor.
