Tradewind Recruitment are working on behalf of a 1 -form entry Primary school in Wigan who would like to recruit an outstanding primary teacher to cover a maternity leave from September.

The role is due to start in September and will be continuing until May 2025. This is a long-term temporary role working 8.30-3.30pm 5 days a week. You will be responsible for a year 4 class of up to 28 mixed ability pupils and have a supportive and experienced Teaching Assistant in class. You will be required to plan, deliver and assess work in line with the National Curriculum and be happy to partake in Parents Evenings, sports days and school trips.

This is an oversubscribed welcoming, friendly primary school with a good reputation in the local area. They support a positive understanding of Christianity and children are encouraged to flourish and develop through their enriched and creative curriculum. The school has excellent parental support and has close links with the surrounding community.

The school has excellent motorway links and is accessible by many regular bus routes. There is a small onsite car park and ample off- road parking.

To join us and be successful in this primary teacher role you will need to :

• Hold QTS status
• Experience of working in key stage 2
• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK
