Managing both the Corporate Occupational Safety and the Occupational Health Teams, this is a challenging role for someone who wants to take the next step in their career. Either from a Health and Safety or Occupational Health background, you will be willing to get to know and understand both specialisms and work closely with managers and employees within both teams to ensure that the offer provided to the organisation is compliant, fit for purpose, proactive and ultimately in time, a commercially viable model.
A tenacious, considered and exemplar leader is required to lead these diverse teams, profiling the fantastic work the teams undertake and ensuring professional integrity and personal development across the teams keeps going from strength to strength. These departments touch all areas of the Council, working closely with all directorates on a day-to-day basis and forms a key component of the HR Specialist Services Team which sits within HR.
If you want to be part of an inclusive, supportive team, and like the idea of having the opportunity to develop personally and professionally, we would love to hear from you!
