Generalist Teacher – SEMH
Are you passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs?
Protocol Education is seeking a committed and flexible Generalist Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in Thurrock. This is a fantastic opportunity to work long-term or permanently within a supportive, therapeutic setting that focuses on helping students thrive both emotionally and academically.
About the Role :
You will be teaching a broad curriculum to students with SEMH needs, many of whom may also have additional learning difficulties or behavioural challenges. The emphasis is on building positive relationships , fostering emotional regulation , and re-engaging students with learning in a safe and nurturing environment.
What We’re Looking For :
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or Instructor status
A strong understanding or interest in SEMH and trauma-informed practice
A resilient, calm, and adaptable approach to teaching
Confidence in managing behaviour positively and effectively
Ability to plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons across multiple subjects
A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
