Location : Midland Metro Ltd, Wednesbury Depot, Potters Lane, WS10 0AR
Salary : £42,650 per annum, including on-call rota
Contract : Full time, Permanent, core hours of 0700 - 1500 hours with night working on occasion

We are now recruiting for a Rail Track Maintenance Supervisor to support the Team Leader in overseeing the Infrastructure PWay team, ensuring all maintenance and repair work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
You will ensure that all planned maintenance activities are delivered in accordance with MML work practices, and assist the Team Leader with setting priorities for work delivery.
In addition to this, as our Rail Track Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for :
Performing all maintenance and repairs on the West Midlands Metro permanent way.
Conducting thorough inspections of work performed by permanent way technicians.
Deputising for the PWay Team Leader during periods of absence.
Producing and maintaining the accuracy and currency of the Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) documents by conducting regular reviews.
Ensure that planned maintenance activities are delivered in accordance with MML work practices, standards and procedures.
Assisting in the planning and execution of any project work and the design of installations.
Foster a culture of safety and professionalism across all tasks, promoting continuous improvement and adherence to safety protocols.
Evaluating survey findings and promptly resolving identified issues.
Overseeing contractors executing planned works.
Prioritising maintenance activities using a risk-based approach.
Organisation of small to large worksites.
Supporting the commissioning of new systems.
In order to be successful in this role you must have / be :
Industry qualifications in permanent way and track maintenance.
Management qualification to a minimum of ILM 3 or equivalent.
Track geometry 1.
Experience of leading others, and the ability to directly manage a team of maintenance technicians, being responsible for their performance and conduct at work.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the company.
Possess extensive proficiency in computer systems and software applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Previous experience in working, and managing a team, within a safety critical environment.
A full UK driving license.
