You will work closely with the care team to ensure all meals are nutritious, well-balanced and enjoyable.Chef Key Responsibilities : Plan and prepare a varied menu that meets the nutritional needs of residents and patients.Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.Adhere to all food hygiene and safety standards.Cater for specific dietary requirements, including allergies and special diets.Work within a budget while maintaining high standards of food quality.Manage kitchen staff, including training and scheduling.Order and manage inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients.Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.Engage with residents and patients to receive feedback and make improvements to the menuWe are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion / belief, sexual orientation, or age.Qualifications and Experience : Proven experience as a Chef, preferably within a care home, respite, or rehabilitation setting.Knowledge of food hygiene regulations and safety standards.Experience in menu planning and catering for special dietary requirements.Strong organisational and time-management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.A compassionate and patient approach to working with elderly residents and patients.If you are a dedicated and skilled Chef who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of residents and patients in care homes, respite, and rehabilitation units, we would love to hear from you.
